Family Assistance Services
Chicanos Por La Causa provides vulnerable communities with emergency hardship services and referrals. Under the Terri Cruz Family Assistance Program, these emergency services include APS and SRP utility assistance, funeral assistance, food box referrals, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) eligibility assistance and AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System) referrals, as well as pandemic COVID-19- related resources.
These services are contingent upon funding availability, income verification, and COVID-19 qualifying factors as applicable by state, federal, and grant requirements.

How to Request Assistance
1. Call the APS & SRP Utility Assistance Hotline at (602) 805-1666 on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday between:
-9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
-2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Calls are answered on a first-come, first-served basis. If you reach voicemail, our lines are full—please hang up and try again.
2. During your call, a prescreening will be conducted to determine eligibility. If eligible, you will be given a list of required documents and scheduled for a follow-up.
3. Appointments are required for assistance on Wednesdays and Thursdays. You may choose an in-person or telephone appointment, depending on availability.
