Shelter Partnership
Let’s collaborate for a brighter LA
Give Products a Second Life
and Support Those in Need.
We are a group of Angelenos who want to see our people thrive.
Since 1985, Shelter Partnership has collaborated with more than 300 organizations across LA to help support people experiencing homelessness and poverty.
While Los Angeles is at the forefront of the homelessness crisis, it's also home to an extraordinary network of nonprofits, public agencies, and innovators working together to create lasting change.
Shelter Partnership amplifies the collective impact of partner agencies working to end homelessness and reduce poverty by collecting and redistributing new, donated goods, keeping usable items out of landfills, while also providing technical assistance to nonprofits and local governments.
Shelter Partnership operates a 108,000-square-foot resource bank that collects and distributes material goods to homeless service agencies in Los Angeles County and beyond.
Since 1989, we have distributed over $340 million in product donations from companies, merchants, and other nonprofits to more than 600 agencies. Through this comprehensive approach, we help align resources, partnerships, and policy to create long-term, systemic solutions to homelessness.

Product Donation Distribution
The S. Mark Taper Foundation Shelter Resource Bank is one of the largest basic need distribution projects in the Nation. The project distributes large-scale donations to thousands of people in need via our network of community partners throughout Los Angeles County. Since 1989, we have given over $340 million to people in need via our network of community partners and homeless service providers.
Planning and Policy
LA County has one of the highest rates of homelessness in the nation, and effective policy, multi-agency collaboration, and a systems change approach is needed to reverse his trend. Shelter Partnership addresses homelessness by building the capacity of community-based agencies, developing resources for affordable housing, and providing housing policy expertise to state and local government.
